Dehydration


Signs and Symptoms of Dehydration:

 

  •     Dry lips and tongue
  •     Headache
  •     Weakness, dizziness, or extreme fatigue
  •     Concentrated urine that appears darker than normal
  •     Nausea
  •     Muscle cramps


Tips

 

  • The thumb rule is to drink plenty of water to keep your body well-hydrated.
  • Natural drinks like buttermilk, coconut water, fruit juices, lime water, ORS (salt & sugar solutions) are a good option to replace lost minerals.
  • Consume fruits and veggies that are rich in water content like Watermelons, oranges and cucumbers.
  • Avoid beverages containing caffeine or alcohol while in the sun or heat especially during summer.
