Health Tips to prevent Cancer

The genetic damage of the cells can be prevented to quite an extent by following some of the tip, such as:

  • Be careful about what you eat: try to eat vegetables and fruits which are rich in colour as these mostly contain high content of antioxidants that help in eradicating damaged cells.
  • Remember the food mantra- High fibre, low fat and little or no red meat.
  • Be careful about your weight: get more of lean weight than just reducing it.  Excessive weight directly increases the risk for breast cancer, endometrial, colon cancer and many others.  A minimum of 30 minutes physical activity in your daily routine is a must – try to increase it step by step.

It is a popular saying that prevention is better than cure.  In case of cancer, too, this holds true.  It is common knowledge that cancer is caused by genetic damage such as mutations in the cells – leading to uncontrolled proliferation of the damaged cells.
