During these last 30 years, Casela evolved from a Bird Park to a nature and leisure park while putting forward its spectacular landscapes always in total respect of nature. The park with its unique concept in Mauritius, proposes activities for the whole family on one site Discover a park of 14 hectares which opened its doors in 1979 and today offers a home to 1,500 birds, lions, zebras, giant tortoises, monkeys, and many other animals. Visit the endemic dry forest with old trees like the Black Ebony and let
your children have fun at the petting farm, the jumping castle or at our fishing ponds. Try a fun and action activity for nature lovers! The longest zipline circuit in the Indian Ocean, Nepalese and cable bridges, double and triple zi-plines, swimming through a canyon and other exciting features make this activity so much more than just a hiking tour. For the adventurous ones, there is also our quad biking trip through the park among the zebras, deers,  antelopes, etc. followed by 4,500 hectares of breathtaking views at the Yemen reserve.

Looking for more sporty activities in communion with nature? Go for the Canyoning or the Via Ferrata. Discover waterfalls and crystal clear ponds with abseils between 5 to 20 metres and swimming in the canyons, always accompanied by qualified and  experienced guides. Full day and half day circuits are available and accessible to almost everybody. The Via Ferrata circuit, unique in Mauritius, crossing cliffs, gorges and plateaus and fitted with progression cables, is accessible to almost everybody, and accompanied by qualified and experienced guides. Enjoy the wonderful view over
the west coast from the top of “Mamzel Zabeth”!

You have also the unique opportunity to meet, touch and walk with the lions and tigers. The Cheetahs are not to be missed either. Small children will have the possibility to watch these animals from a platform over viewing their park. Since almost one year now, the Drive Through has been introduced with the possibility to drive through a vast enclosure of 12 acres in a secured vehicle and view our 6 adult lions, 2 males and 4 females in their natural environment.

For a more leisurely activity, you can go for the Segway, an ecological and silent 2-wheels electric-vehicle.

Discover the African Reserve on a one hour tour and meet zebras and other animals or try the photo-safari tour for approximately 45 minutes and discover the indigenous plants and deer, wild boars, zebras, ostriches and other animals.

The petting farm will offer to the family a nice place where the children can feed the animals living there such as rabbits, wallabies, ducks, etc. The young ones can also try to make the 'big catch' at one of our fishing ponds.  The visit would not be complete without a stop at the restaurant, the ideal place to take a break and enjoy the breathtaking view over Tamarin Bay and the West Coast of Mauritius.  This place offers Mauritian, European and Indian food as well as a special kids menu, served in a beautiful environment with the sounds of nature in the background.

It is also an outstanding location for weddings or corporate events, special theme evenings with sun setting over Tamarin Bay or seminars. Casela team caters professionally for everyone’s needs.

For our youngest guests, for those who are young at heart, for those who need time to switch off from hectic life in the city and for those who want to spice up their holiday with some ac-tion, the Casela Nature & Leisure Park offers something for everybody!
