RAVIOR - THE ESSENCE

CAN YOU TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUR COMPANY?

The Jetshan family is from an ancient line of jewellers from Gujarat. They founded Ravior in 1982, a company that specializes in the crafting of jew-ellery and art. Ravior is especially fa-mous for its high degree of creativity and craftsmanship, spread over nine generations, which stand as one of the major pillars of the company.

The success of the brand is due to the directors’ love for the craft of jew-ellery and art, their vision of Ravior, and their respect for and friendship that unites each person working for the company. They understand the need for the highest level of technol-ogy and training: the craftsmen work-ing at Ravior have undertaken customized training, taught by con-sultants from ‘L’Association Francaise de la Bijouterie.’

WHERE WAS THE FIRST SHOP OPENED?

Ravior opened its first shop in Quatre Bornes in 1982, predominantly focus-ing on the Mauritian market, but with time the company is reaching out to tourists: by selling its jewellery in ho-tels and at the International SSR Air-port. One of its 4 branches is located in Black River which is a highly touris-tic region. 2013 marked the launch of Rav-ior’s online boutique via its website www.ravior.com

HOW DID THE PUBLIC REACT TO THE LAUNCH OF RAVIOR?

The public’s response since the be-ginning of Ravior was very positive. Ravior opened the doors to innova-tion and design made in Mauritius, introducing new technologies and know-how in jewellery making on the island. Ravior brand is now recog-nized for its originality and the quality of its craftsmanship, thus establish-ing a relationship of trust with the public.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR ESTABLISHMENT?

A family business, Ravior has trans-mitted the knowledge of creation through generations and has consis-tently refined the creativity of its  products. The company cherishes  the immense value of each profes-sional working for them and of each client that partakes in the brand’sheritage.  

Ravior believes that craftsmen are primordial in producing exceptional jewellery and this is why the artisans working for Ravior are trained to the highest level. The brand’s founda-tions rest upon passion in achieving perfection through precision in detail.

WHAT PRODUCTS/ ACTIVITIES ARE THE FAVOURITES?

Ravior consists of four major compo-nents:
RAVIOR UNIK deals in unique pieces and made to measure orders.
RAVIOR CLASSIC provides classic, timeless pieces all crafted to the  Ravior standard.
RAVIOR DESIGNcaters in limited edition Ravior pieces.
RAVIOR SELECTION consists of jewellery that has been specially selected by Ravior.

However, the favourite aspect of our work remains the making of a unique customer made piece of jew-ellery, fulfilling the client’s desire.

Ravior’s mission is to reveal the magic in jewellery, in the manipula-tion of metals and stones, since 1982. Ravior focuses on its values of trust, quality of its products and services, respect for the environment, and con-stant search for improvement.

WHAT MAKES YOUR COMPANY UNIQUE?

What makes Ravior unique is the di-rectors’ love for the craft of jewellery and art, their vision of Ravior, and the friendship that unites each person working for the company. ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADD?

Ravior has always believed in its so-cial responsibility by investing its company in activities through which children wellbeing is promoted through art. HOPE is a collection of jewellery specially designed to raise funds and awareness to the NGO’s work in Mauritius.

Ravior is associated with TIPA, a non-governmental organization wor-king with vulnerable children, aiming to develop their life skills through ed-ucation in art and culture. 10 % of the sale of each HOPE jewel will be do-nated to TIPA to help them in their activities as well as in their on-going and future projects. Ravior trusts that through increased awareness of TIPA people will be encouraged to give some of their time in helping the or-ganization.

WHAT CAN CUSTOMERS EXPECT IN THE NEAR FUTURE?
