Justin Bieber has overtaken Lady Gaga at the top of the YouTube honours list after one of his videos became the most-viewed on the website.
The 16-year-old, who was discovered on YouTube, has clocked up more than 246 million views of his video for Baby.
Lady Gaga's Bad Romance was pushed into second place with a mere 245.6 million.
Canadian Bieber, currently on tour in the US, thanked his legion of fans - he has 3.7 million followers on Twitter - and paid tribute to his fellow artist.
He described the 24-year-old, known for her eccentric outfits, as "an incredible artist" who has great respect for.
"So it doesnt matter who has more views what matters is that we have incredible fans that support us... that im sure we are both greatful (sic) 4," he continued.
Bieber became a teenage heart-throb - and a genuine "internet sensation" - when he signed a record deal at age 14 after posting his own videos on YouTube.
Lady Gaga, 24, is in the middle of her Monster Ball tour and recently became the first living person to have more than 10 million fans on social networking site Facebook.
