NICOLE SCHERZINGER ENDS ADELE'S SINGLES CHART REIGN

US singer Nicole Scherzinger has toppled Adele from the top of the UK singles chart with Don't Hold Your Breath.

Pussycat Doll Scherzinger is also famed as a guest judge on the UK's X Factor.

Adele had spent four weeks at number one with Someone Like You. Her second album 21 is now topping the albums chart for its eighth week while her debut album 19 is at number two.

The Wanted's official Comic Relief single Gold Forever charted at three.

Singer-songwriter Adele became the first living artist since the Beatles to have two top five hits in both the singles chart and the albums chart simultaneously when Someone Like You topped the charts.

This week, her single, Rolling In The Deep, rose from number 9 to number 8 while her Bob Dylan cover, Make You Feel My Love, fell to number 37 from 33.

Jessie J featuring B.O.B's Price Tag fell from two to four.

Rihanna's S&M dropped two places from number three to number five, while girl band Parade entered the charts at 10 with Louder.

George Michael's Comic Relief fundraiser and New Order cover True Faith entered the chart at number 27.

The Vaccines' debut album entered the album chart at number four with What Did You Expect from the Vaccines?

Michael Ball's Heroes entered at number 10, and New Zealand band The Naked and Famous's debut album, Passive Me Aggressive You, entered the album charts at number 25.
