Tucked between the majestic Le Morne Mountain and the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, Dinarobin Hotel Golf & Spa is a breathtaking hideaway where nature’s serene beauty meets five-star luxury. Indeed, the resort boasts of a most privileged location in the secluded Le Morne peninsula, on the south-west corner of the island. Recently renovated with impeccable taste and elegance, Dinarobin stretches across 150 hectares of pure bliss where privacy primes.

The décor favors nature’s elements of wood, water and stone. These are artistically landscaped to blend harmoniously with the surrounding natural beauty. Soothing water sounds from the numerous cascading pools merge with the sweet scent of the Frangipani to create an atmosphere of tropical tranquility. By night, the soft lighting along the wooden pathways and the shimmering ponds add romance and wonder to the place. The design is such that mountain and sea are in constant view and the setting is spectacularly enhanced by the iconic Le Morne Brabant peak.
Designated by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 2008, the peak is a powerful symbol of freedom, silently speaking of the slaves’ fight for liberty in 18th century Mauritius. The mountain’s almost inaccessible cliffs once sheltered runaway slaves, whose heroic resistance is today celebrated.

Being right at the foot of Le Morne, Dinarobin is endowed with true historical charm. The peak stands magnificent and mysterious as sunlight or moonlight quietly plays with its every nook and cranny, offering us a taste of the sublime. One would always be seeing Le Morne anew as different times and perspectives beautifully unveil its ever-changing self. At sunset, guests may enjoy a rejuvenating dip in one of the seven salt-water pools while admiring the dancing hues on the jagged mountain sides– a perfect moment to experience absolute calm and timelessness.
The 172 sea-facing suites feature topnotch amenities. Spacious and flooded with natural light, they reflect the island’s multicultural legacy. Especially cozy are the private terraces where one may delight in a nice cup of Mauritian tea while enjoying the panorama.
A recent innovation is the Private Club reserved for guests of Club Suites. Steeped in a British colonial atmosphere, the Club is located in a “Martello Tower”, whose thick stone walls replicate the structures built by the Empire. The Club Manager diligently attends to guests while they enjoy remarkable privileges. Open all day, the Private Lounge serves light snacks, refreshments, cocktails and canapés. Up in the tower, a candlelight dinner under the stars will sweep lovers off their feet. Indeed, the setting rhymes with romance and couples will have the sensation of living a dream.

Dinarobin is also renowned for its superb gastronomy: it features four restaurants and two bars which propose various cuisines, from light meals to gourmet dishes. Saveurs des Iles, for instance, combines finesse with originality, presenting delectable French meals with a Mauritian twist. Exuding sophistication and excellence, Il Gusto, the Italian restaurant with Tuscan influences, is set by the reflecting ponds with views of the beach. Guests may also choose to dine at the four restaurants found at Le Paradis.  Indeed, Dinarobin and its adjacent sister hotel of the same category, Le Paradis, form a ‘duo resort’. Both share facilities and thus provide guests with exceptional variety. Free shuttle service facilitates movement to and fro. Thus, one may benefit from the myriad of activities offered by both resorts. Those looking for a rush of adrenaline will delight in the extensive choice of land and water sports. Golfers are spoilt with three championship golf courses, including an 18-hole Par 72 international golf course. A unique golf buggy service is also available.

After an energizing day at the beach, one may indulge in moments of blissful relaxation at the spa. Set at the foot of the mountain, the spa by Clarins is an oasis of almost spiritual calm. Le Morne peak is regarded as a sacred place of healing, a haven where one can connect with the spirit of freedom; these qualities extend to the sanctuary at Dinarobin. At the very entrance, a beautiful path of Japanese steps, raised above a sleek reflecting pool, guides one away from the stress of daily life. The spa features a four-cabin area dedicated to Ayurvedic treatments. The “dharapaathis” (tailor-made tables hewn from single pieces of wood) have been exclusively imported from India to provide an authentic Eastern experience of well-being. Besides massage cabins, saunas, hammams and a beauty salon, algotherapy and balneotherapy are also available

To complement it all, world-class service is a hallmark of the resort. Professional staff is ever-present to ensure that one’s holiday is absolutely worry-free and memorable. Dinarobin Hotel Golf & Spa is for those who seek the sensation of being at the edge of the world, away from the hubbub of daily life and utterly free to live magic moments.
