VIRGIN MARY/ ASSUMPTION OF MARY

The assumption of Mary is celebrated on the 15th of August 2009 by Mauritian Catholics.  The Assumption is important to many Christians as it is the day that she was received bodily into Heaven and this event is seen as symbolic of the promise of Jesus to all Christians that they will be received into paradise.
