Antoine Georges, Managing Director, DOME Exhibitions, said: “Over the years, IREIS has emerged as the emirate’s most important event in the property sector - showcasing a diversified mix of local and international property investment opportunities from across the globe. The 2016 edition of IREISwill serve as a window to investment opportunities and highlight the future direction of the real estate industry in the region. In gathering potential buyers, sellers, investors and consultants under one roof, we seek to spotlight the challenges and potential the market holds, while providing all stakeholders in the industry with a networking platform to identify new synergies.”

This year’s event assumes added significance following the introduction of a new law regulating the real estate sector in the emirate of Abu Dhabi that came into effect in January 2016. Aimed at protecting the rights of both developers and buyers of real estate units in the emirate through ensuring increased clarity and transparency in real estate transactions, the law serves as a catalyst for the sector’s sustainable growth to meet thesurging demand for quality housing units. The new law has helped the property prices maintain an upward trend for both residential and commercial units.
