On the occasion of World Environment Day, Asif Bhamla's foundation is organising an event in Bandra to create awareness about the need to take care of the environment.
And giving the do a musical twist, Prasoon Joshi will release a song that was written by him and composed by Shahkar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa over a year ago for the same cause. The song titled Humko Hai Asha has kids wanting the right to look after the world as adults have failed to do so miserably. Speaking about the song, Prasoon says, "We aren't concentrating on just one cause.
The song speaks about the various ways — be it pollution or deforestation — in which we harm the nature. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has shot a video for the song, which can be viewed on the web." None of them have charged any money for the initiative. Adds Prasoon, "Songs like these need to be promoted. We'll be happy to have more organisations and foundations come forward and support the cause."
