Etka Kapoor hosted a belated bash for her birthday on Saturday night at her mom's place. The invitation was sent on text message to a small group of people — the ones she considers near and dear.
The birthday girl asked everyone to come casually dressed at 10.30pm, which is early, given her penchant for midnight entry at her own party. "Dress down" was the only mandate she gave her friends as the producer hates to dress up for parties, and didn't want to put her guests through the stress and effort.
Most of the people complied and turned up in jeans-tee and chappals. Neelam was heard complaining that no one warned her to come casual. Inside, the Kapoor girl mingled with the select group and stopped to chat with everyone. The people and the ambience were both relaxed. Most conversations in the evening centred on films, diets and fashion.
