The East Coast of the island boasts some of the best beaches and promises great sunrises. We were very eager to visit the pristine setting of Constance Belle Mare Plage, having heard a lot of positive feedback regarding its landscape and natural setting. The hotel is set amidst 15 hectares of tropical land along a 2 km long sandy beach. I even caught sight of a few deer on one of its two 18-holes golf courses! On the eve it had rained and we met some golfers who thoroughly enjoyed their game in the rain. So let’s see what else the hotel had to offer besides its undeniable ideal location.

We stayed in a Prestige Room which was very spacious for 2 people, with a balcony giving onto the pool and a sea view. We also had a sofa area next to our bed. Wooden floors and opulent décor will automatically make you feel pampered and this feeling will only be made more special when room service will knock at your door to bring you complimentary snacks and wine. I thoroughly enjoyed the walk in wardrobe which was very well equipped and provided us with ample space for our baggage and clothes.

We booked our table at the deer hunter which is located on the Legend Golf Club House. Our table was set on the terrace overlooking a pond and we had the pleasure of enjoying a magnificent full moon and the occasional visit of ducks which made our experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant is decorated to look like a hunter’s lodge with wood and coloured rocks. The food itself was delicious and the steak we had was very well cooked. The dessert was unique with tapioca biscuit and so was the bread which was served as the chef likes to add a touch of creativity to his plates. Other restaurants include the Blue Penny Café and Le Swing which offer haute cuisine in a chic setting and La Citronelle, the main restaurant. There are also some beach destinations for those who want to be more relaxed. As such La Spiaggia serves Meditarranean menus by night and light meals and sushis by day. The Indigo Beach Restaurant and La Kaze are other favourite lunch destinations. All those restaurants are equipped with incredible bars with a great selection of drinks.

Although the favourite activity offered remains Golf, there are also some great tennis courts and an amazing variety of water sports to choose from. The boathouse offers waterskiing, windsurfing, wake boards, kayaks, Hobie Cat, Laser boats, pedalos, glass-bottom boat trips and snorkeling to name a few! You can also enjoy windsurfing and kite surfing lessons at a fee amongst others which we simply cannot all name as the list is extensive! The East Coast being known for its South East Trade Winds is one of the best destinations for Kite Surfing. We hope that you enjoy the hotel, its hospitality and activities as much as we did. Try and spot some deer
and have fun visiting the golf course on your golf kart. The bike rides around the area are also great in case you are worried about those extra kilos which come along with the
scrumptious dishes made with love
by the chef!
