Spreading over a surface of 400 hectares, Casela World of Adventures is today a must-see attraction in Mauritius. Over the years Casela has built its reputation as being the referred park of the Indian Ocean acquiring new animals and new activities for adults and children. The peculiar roofing at the entrance, with imposing statues of animals irremediably triggers the curiosity of anyone passing by. Ambient safari music in the parking already sets the mood for adventure to the arriving visitors.

A sanctuary for endangered birds at its inception, in December 1979, the park’s evolution has been punctuated by key moments. Today, Casela World of Adventures is home to over 1500 birds and an abode for land-dwelling mammals from different parts of the world. It is also a unique place with the island’s largest toboggan and longest zip line. The park is also stamping its name in the world as the only place in the world where visitors can swim with the dolphins at dawn, a walk with the lions at mid-day and canyoning in the mountains in the afternoon. The
various amenities and activities recently introduced are testimony of the innovative spirit driving the team at the park. Casela World of Adventures has got something for the whole family! Lions, tigers and cheetahs await those longing for a thrilling moment. The big cats, with their furry coat, will definitely win the hearts of many at the very outset. This idyllic setting, with its lush greenery, is home to an impressive flora. Nestled at the foot of the Rempart Mountain, this oasis, in the middle of the west coast, proposes activities such as Quad, Segway and Buggy rides. Casela World of Adventures is also the only place on the island where visitors can see and interact with giraffes, roaming freely in an open space.

Showcasing what is done best these days, this magnificent building, at the entrance of park sets visitors in the mood as soon as they step out of their vehicle. A music recalling the savannah, massive pillars replicating giant baobabs and creepers on the ceiling to add an adventurous touch. The designed is signed by the illustrious company which was hired for the world famous Games of Throne series. Fitted with the very first 4D cinema on the island, two movies are on display. ‘Ruin’, a sci-fi biopic with amazing graphics and ‘Robin Hood’, a cartoon featuring amazing sensations are available. A made-to-scale replica in 3D of Mauritius is also centrally placed. Several interactive buttons enable visitors to discover the island’s leading landmarks in a fun way.

Home to an impressive fauna already, the park recently welcomed giraffes, waterbucks and African land-dwelling mammals. Rhinos will soon come swell the ranks of the park along with hyenas and other big surprises. Other than the numerous lions, tigers and cheetahs already roaming around, making the joy of visitors, the Safari Kingdom has recently accommodated new tenants namely serval and caracal cats.

On 26th of February 2015, the new facilities of Casela World of Adventures were inaugurated by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism and External Communications, Hon. Xavier Luc Duval, along with the park’s newly appointed Godmother, Her Highness Stéphanie of Monaco.
